2009 – Present: Chevron: Working with Chevron Information Technology Company (CITC) as a Deployment Consultant to deploy the Global Information Link (GIL3) desktop systems to 104,000 users world wide. Billed as the largest single IT infrastructure project in Chevron history, the GIL3 project spans 120 countries, 140 unique processes, 1200 communications documents, a project team numbering in the hundreds with a total 24 month budget over $300 million USD.

 

2007 - 2008: Chevron: Working with Downstream strategic business units (SBU), Chevron’s Information Technology Company (CITC) and the other Chevron Operating Companies to design, develop and deploy a state-of-the-art IT Reliability & Capacity Management system.

  • Reported to the General Manager of Downstream Global Shared Services and the CIO of Downstream IT.
  • Gathered system requirements, developed all plans & work processes;
  • Led the overall design & development of an end user experience monitoring network using BMC TMART™ transaction monitors; Windows™ 2003 RDBMS and SharePoint™ graphic dashboard.

Internal Revenue Service, Wash DC: Under Contract to IBM Global Services - Provided architecture and planning services for consolidation of ten regional centers into two.  Project budget approx $250million USD.

  • Plans included systems upgrades, BPM process consolidations and year 2000 compliance initiatives for IBM and Unisys mainframes,
  • Developed business process management (BPM) services and integration plans.

 

State of South Carolina, Charlotte – Under Contract to Hitachi Professional Services – Provide serves to support SC consolidation of 11 separate IT processing centers into one state processing center.

  • Provided the systems analysis (hardware, software, network & facilities);

  • Assisted with IT organization plan;
  • Developed various consolidation scenarios and ROI and CBA for each scenario.

 

State Farm Insurance, Bloomington, Ill. Under contract to IBM Global Services - Consolidated 28 regional data centers into three newly built "Geoplex" centers in Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix.  Project budget approx $200million USD.

  • Designed the three Geoplex operational environments including, hardware, software systems and procedures;
  • Developed a logical technical model of the target environments including transition plans.
  • Developed intra-system and intra-enterprise integration plans.

 

El Paso Energy, Houston, TX  For three years my company took over the day-to-day operations of the El Paso Energy data center in Houston.

  • Designed the operations management and performance engineering profile;
  • Successfully executed a mainframe exit/sunset strategy to client/server architecture;
  • Managed and supported the ITIL disciplines for the mainframe environment. 

 

Prudential Insurance, Roseland, NJ - Over a three year period my company provided several Business Process reviews and process consolidations.  This included a two year long operations production control modernization project.

  • Provided both the analysis and resources to improve system process constructs, business process management, workload scheduling and workload automation (Saved Prudential over $10million USD).
  • Provided management and planning consultations for the consolidation of the Prudential northern region data canter in to the main campus in Roseland, NJ .
  • Provided merger analysis of the operational IT infrastructure of Prudential Securities subsidiary in New York with the Prudential Service Company in NJ.
